Since its reveal at E3 last month, there's been plenty of confusion surrounding Microsoft's motion controller, Kinect. Developers at the event were telling us the camera couldn't detect seated players. Microsoft, though, quickly responded saying that yes, you can use Kinect while being seated.
The company further clarified today saying that whether or not players can be seated while using Kinect depends on what types of games or applications are developed for it.
"Kinect can be used while sitting when an experience is developed with sitting in mind," a representative told IGN. "With full body motion control, it is natural for Kinect games to be designed to get you off the couch: dancing, running, dodging, bending and kicking."
Microsoft said it expects players to be sitting while using applications like dashboard navigation and other video features, such as the recently announced Hulu Plus service.
"What we demonstrated at E3 was only the tip of the iceberg," the rep added. We're still waiting for Microsoft to clarify Kinect's multiplayer limits, but we'll find out soon enough.
Kinect is set for release on November 4, 2010.

New RPGs before Christmas release by Aldorlea Games
Gamezebo recently sat down with Aldorlea Games' Alan Pendragon, who filled us in on the four new role-playing games that the studio is planning to release before the end of the year: The Witch and the Warrior, Cora Flint and the Symbol Stones, Laxius Force 3 and Millennium 3.
Hi Alan, thanks for taking the time to speak with us. First, please tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do at Aldorlea Games.
Hi Erin, Alan Pendragon and Indinera Falls are two sides of the same person. As Alan Pendragon I write and as Indinera Falls I am better known for my role-playing games (RPGs). Apart from writing and making games I also have a huge love of music and I compose songs and tracks.
Games have been a passion for me for a long time, you could even say a lifelong one as I have been making them for almost 20 years now. I actually started out first doing paper based works before starting with the computer games.
I created Aldorlea Games in July 2008 when I decided to go commercial after seeing how my previous freeware RPGs had been well received by players. Until Eridani joined in April 2010 as a developer with her game Ella's Hope, I was the only staff member of Aldorlea Games, so you could say I was director, producer and developer for this company. FIFA 11 on PC will be a next-gen bussines

After FIFA 10 was released last year with severely outdated graphical capabilities, the PC crowd wasn’t very happy at all – all kinds of questions were raised about the future of this series and sports games in general on our format of choice. FIFA 11, however, will come with all the bells and whistles of its console brethren – including next generation console-quality gameplay, game modes, visuals and the true 360 degree dribbling system.
“The EA SPORTS FIFA franchise is committed to investing and innovating for PC and this is a watershed moment,” said Executive Producer Kaz Makita. “We are delivering to FIFA 11 PC the high quality gameplay, innovative game modes and stunning graphics that have made FIFA the highest rated sports game on the PlayStation3 and Xbox 360 and winner of over 50 sports game of the year awards.”
At long last we may have a football game that’s worth playing on the PC, now all we need is cross-platform play so we can take the ass-whooping to those 360 fellows! Full features and game modes for FIFA 11 PC should be revealed in the “coming weeks and months”, with the game releasing in Europe on October 1st, 2010.
