Final Fantasy XIII (PlayStation 3) - Guide

Final Fantasy XIII (PlayStation 3) - Guide
CHAPTER 1

After the opening cutscene, go through the ATB tutorial.
Following the tutorial, just spam the auto-battle to end the fight.
When the battle starts again, use the same strategy. Use a Potion if your health gets low.
After the battle, go through the camera tutorial and save your game. Then proceed to the enemies up ahead. Take this time to get used to the battle system.
Open your map. See the yellow circle with the exclamation point? This is an event marker. We'll be referring to them throughout this guide.
March down the path towards the event marker. Use the blue circle to hop from level to level. Keep an eye out for these circles throughout the game—they often lead to hidden treasure.
Down the path, take on two more PSICOM Wardens, then another PSICOM Warden and two PSICOM Enforcers.
Once you take care of those guys, go further down the same path and grab the Potion from the treasure chest.
A bit farther along, grab another chest with two more Potions from the platform to the right of the path.
You'll encounter a Pantheron and some PSICOM Wardens along the way. Keep attacking and heal when needed.
Continue on and grab the Iron Bangle from the chest on the platform to the left.
Navigate through the crates and descend down the stairs. There's a 50 Gil in the treasure chest hidden between the crates to the right.
You'll have one more easy battle before you encounter the a group of enemies and the item tutorial.
Watch the cutscene and head up the stairs to the save point.
Save your game and hop down to the switch.
Activate the switch.Head towards the the enemies ahead, and go through the chain / stagger tutorial.
When the real battle starts, take out the small guys before you concentrate on staggering the more dangerous enemies.Watch the cutscene. You'll start the next section as Snow.
Turn around immediately and you'll see a treasure chest with 50 Gil. Open it and then head towards the event marker.
Save your game at the save point and hop through the debris.
Watch the cutscene.
Run through the enemies to the event marker. Concentrate on staggering enemies. Use Potions when you're low on health.
Watch the cutscene as you reach the group of survivors.
When you start again, open the chest to the left of your starting point. It should have an Iron Bangle.
Save your game and make your way to the next marker. Use Snow's Hand Grenade ability to break up groups of enemies.

CHAPTER 2

You'll start in the middle of a battle with Hope and Vanille. The enemy should stagger easily enough.
From your starting position, head right and grab the 30 Gil from the chest .
Head back and go up the stairs. Run down the stairs on the opposite side and read the sneaking tutorial.
Sneak up on the enemies and grab the Iron Bangle from the chest.
Dash back up the stairs. You should see another chest . Fight through the enemies and open it. There will be four Potions in it.
Head to the event marker.
You'll start the next section as Snow.
Save your game.
Turn around and climb the stairs to grab the two Potions.
Run to the event marker. Use a combination of Hand Grenades and Potions if you get overwhelmed by enemies.
Check the object at the event marker.
You'll assume control of Lightning and Sazh. Read the Shroud tutorial.
Run up the stairs and grab the Phoenix Down from the chest.
Head up the next set of stairs and get the Gladius.
Note...
Feel free to avoid battles with any enemies you wish. You gain no experience for these battles.
Run up the stairs to the next event marker.
Watch the cutscene and you'll assume control of Snow.
Turn around and go down the stairs to grab the two Potions in the chest.
Run to the event marker.
Check out the structure.
Run up the stairs and hop on the platform.
Watch the cutscene and you'll assume control of Hope and Vanille.
Run up the stars and turn right, then run up the stairs you see there.
Defeat the enemies and grab the Fortisol from the chest.
Make your way to the next event marker.
Note...
Focus on staggering the enemies you encounter. Still no healing spells yet, so you'll have to rely on Potions.
Save your game and continue on the path. You'll find a chest with 100 Gil in it along the way.
After the cutscene you'll be thrown into battle with three Ghouls. Focus on using Hand Grenade to take them out quickly.
After that cutscene, you'll switch back to Lightning and Sazh.
Immediately head left and grab the Power Wristband from the chest.
Head back to the starting point and up the stairs.
Note...
As stated earlier, you can skip any battles without doing any harm to your character progression. If you do want to fight, try to sneak up on the Ghouls. They're not very aware of their surroundings, and it's easy to get the drop on them.
Save your game and continue on to the marker.
You'll find yourself facing a gauntlet of Ghouls. Nothing fancy here, just focus on staggering them and move on until you get to the next marker.
Watch the cutscene. You'll assume control of a party of Lightning, Snow, and Sazh.
Run towards the marker; you'll be more than a match for anything you encounter.

CHAPTER 3

You start the chapter in a tutorial battle. Go through the tutorial and you'll find yourself in a party consisting of Lightning, Snow, and Vanille.
Note...
Enemies here shouldn't be too hard. Read up on basic Paradigm tactics and you should be prepared to handle anything you encounter.
Note...
From this point on, you will be earning experience. This means it's important to engage most if not all of the enemies you run into. As long as you do this, you should have no need to level grind until chapter 11.
Head towards the first marker, but be sure to head down a branch to your left.
Grab the Power Wing at the end of the branch.
A little bit further down that path you'll find Chipped Fangs, and a bit after that you'll find a 200 Gil chest to your right.
After the 200 Gil chest, you'll encounter a group of six PSICOM Warden. Go through the command system tutorial. Use the same battle tactics you've been using and you should come through OK.
Note...
From this point on, you'll have access to Libra. This command will give you info on all enemy weaknesses. Once scanned, your AI partners and your auto-battle will automatically adjust to target these weaknesses, so scan every new enemy you come across.
Keep heading down the path. Shortly after a battle with three Ghasts and three Whytes, you'll find a branch to your right. Follow it and take the Cie'th Tears from the chest.
Continue on the path and keep your eyes peeled for a branch leading left. You'll find a Silver Bangle at the end of it.
Be sure to save your game when you see a save point to your right.
Continue down the path and grab the Phoenix down and 50 Gil chests after you fight a group of 4 Pantherons?IMAGE 03-009.jpg].
Grab the Strange Fluid after the fight with two Pantherons.
At the next branch, stick to the left and you'll come across a chest containing a Magician's Mark.
Head down the path towards the next save point.
When you come to a branching path, take the right and get the Strange Fluid from the chest.
Just after you take the Strange Fluid, you'll come to a clearing with four Pantherons. Find the opening at the far left and use the blue circles to hop around. You'll find two treasure chests, one with 240 Gil and one with a new weapon for Sazh.
Head back down and find your way across the chasm. After you've crossed, hook an immediate right. Run across the giant pipe and you should find a chest with Enigmatic Fluid in it being guarded by enemies. Defeat the enemies, grab the treasure and run to the event marker.
Be sure to get the Wicked Fang just before the next chasm.
When you reach the event marker, you'll find that it's a dead end. Watch the cutscene and head back across the bridge. Head up the ice ramp and to the immediate right you should spot a downed vehicle. Check it out and the path should be cleared.
Continue on to the next marker. Be sure to save your game at the next save point.
Continue on. Take the path to the right and grab the Librascope, then return to the main path. Continue on and watch for the treasure chest with two Digital Circuits in it.
When you get to a cliff, hop up it and stick to the right. You will find a chest with Paraffin Oil in it.
Walk under the frozen waterfall and you'll find a chest with 50 Gil.
Continue up the ice face and save your game. Do a 180 from the save point and jump across a small gap to get the Insulated Cabling from the chest.
Continue towards the event marker. You should find a 30 Gil chest and six Begrimed Claws before you reach it.
Save your game at the stairs and enter the building. To the right, you should find a chest with 600 Gil.
Try and sneak up on the Behemoth.
Stick to the right and you should find a secret passage that will take you directly to a chest with two Digital Circuits.
Head left. Try to sneak up on the enemies you find. Hop up onto the broken bridge and head towards the next marker. Go down into the arena using the blue circle at the top of the bridge. It'll allow you to easily creep up on the tough enemies in this section.
At the northwest of the arena, you'll find a chest with a Spark Ring.
Continue towards the event marker.
When you reach a save point, you'll find a blue circle that will give you access to a save point. Don't take it, because the long route will take you to a chest with Millerite, which will come in handy later in the game.
Hug the right so you don't miss access to the stairway that will lead you to a chest with Ferroelectric Film.
Continue towards the marker. When you get to the next save point, be sure to grab the Phoenix Down chest and a chest to the left that contains two Librascopes.
When you're ready, move on to the event marker and a boss fight.

CHAPTER 4

You'll start the chapter in battle. Take out the enemies and you'll assume control of Sazh and Vanille. Save your game, level up and head to the marker.
Assume control of Lightning and Hope.
Save your game.
Hop up on the blue circle to grab the Librascope.
Head towards the event marker. Try playing around with the Synergist role as you fight the enemies. Buffs can be important for the combat of Final Fantasy XIII.
Note...
Pulsework Soldier - Try sneaking up on this enemy. He's hard to stagger, and a preemptive strike is an easy way to take him out.
Get to the marker.
When you assume control of Sazh and Vanille, save your game and head to the marker.
You'll start to encounter enemies in three-way battles. At the beginning of these fights, don't attack. Instead, observe and determine the strongest enemy. Focus on taking that one out before you turn your attention to the weaker enemies.
Pull the lever, run down to the marker, and pick up the Black Belt along the way.
After the cutscene, you will assume control of Sazh, Vanille, and Hope. Hop up the cliff.
Grab the Ninurta that the Pulsework Soldier is guarding.
Continue down the path and save your game.
When you come to a fork in the road, take the left passage and continue on, sticking to the left side until you come to a save point that has a Metal Armband in a chest.
Continue on to the next save point. Just after that, your party will change to Sazh, Lightning, and Vanille.
Head towards the event marker.
Activate the panel when you come across it. Continue along the path.
Grab a Librascope from the chest along the way.
When the road branches, take a right, and you can pick up a chest containing a Ember Ring.
Save the game at the next save point and get ready for a boss battle.
Consult the weapons section for more info on upgrading.
Run to the next marker.
Save your game, go to the marker and watch the cutscene.
When you regain control, you'll be in the middle of a battle with Hope and Lightning. Take out the enemy and run to the next marker.
Run along the path and hug the first passage left to find three Fiber-optic Cables.
Take the next passage right to find a chest containing a Librascope.
A bit further down the path, you'll get to ride the Dreadnought. This is a pretty linear section of the game, so march through and have fun.
Immediately after the Dreadnought you'll run across two chests. Grab the treasure and move on.
A bit further on you'll find a chest with two Electrolytic Capacitors and a save point.
Save your game and take the next passage right. Go over the overpass to find a Spark Ring in a chest.Run down the path and take the next right to find a Phoenix Down.
Ignore the next few twists and turns in the road. Save your game at the next save point.Go to the marker.
Go through the Odin tutorial.
Watch the cutscene.
Assume control of Sazh and Vanille. Run down the path, save your game.
You'll be encountering lots of Bombs around here. If they explode, they will do heavy damage to you. Target them first in battle.
Hit the lever you come across as you run down the path.
Run down the path and you'll see some treasure chests that are inaccessible. You'll have to come back for these later.
Continue down the path and grab the Auric Amulet in an offshoot to the right.
Save your game at the save point and move on. As you run down the path, keep an eye out on your right side. You should see a chest. It contains a Ember Ring.
When you get to the next save point, you're going to have to go around and hit each of the four panels pictured. Hit all four and grab the Fortisol in the center.
You should probably go back and grab those two chests that were inaccessible earlier, but it's optional. As you leave the area, keep an eye out on your left for a Phoenix Down.
Head towards the marker and grab the 300 Gil chest along the way.
Follow the event markers in the flashback scene.

CHAPTER 5

You start in control of Lightning and Hope. Level up and save your game.
Note...
The enemies in this area require a little bit more strategy than before. Keep your finger on the shoulder button so you can switch Lightning or Hope to Medic at a moment's notice.
Run to the event marker, watch the cutscene and save your game.
Continue on to the next marker. When you get to a fork in the road, head right, there's an stack of crates to the left that will block your path.
At the next fork, go left to pick up the Antidote in the treasure chest. Then head back to the event marker.
Save your game and run to the next marker. Grab the Hawkeye that will be on your right.
After the next marker, you'll enter an area with several gates blocking your way. You'll have to defeat all the enemies here in order to progress. Use Hope's protector abilities and focus on chaining and staggering one enemy at a time.
Grab the Antidotes from the chest to the right just before the gate.
After the second gate, you'll have to fight a Behemoth. Use protection buffs and switch to Medic whenever Hope's health gets in the yellow and you should pull through okay.
After the last gate, Lightning will become the party leader.
Continue on your way. Keep an eye out for a passage on your right that will lead to a Star Pendant. Take out the enemies in the area to get it and unlock the gate.
Continue up to the next marker.
Grab the Edged Carbine from the chest on your left and make your way to the next gate.
It's guarded by a Behemoth. Use the same strategy that you used on the last one to take it down.Save your game at the next save point.
Hug the wall to the left and you should be able to slip into an area containing a 1500 Gil treasure chest and a Behemoth. That's a lot of money, so kill the enemy and take it.
As you make your way to the next marker, stick to the right. You'll come across a group of eight Crawlers. Kill them and the Behemoth that's with them to get access to a chest that has Fragrant Oil in it.
Make your way to the next marker, by hugging the left wall. You'll see a treasure chest, but before you can grab it, one Behemoth and a Frag Leech will appear to stop you. Use the same strategies you've employed so far to take them down.
When you have the treasure head up the leaf stairway to the save point.
Go down the path until you come to a save point and a chest with Ethersol. Grab it and save your game.
Move forward and start the boss battle.Save your game.Walk to the next marker.

CHAPTER 6

You start in control of Sazh and Vanille. Save your game, level up, and head down the path to the marker.
You'll find weak enemies in small groups here. Use area of effect attacks to take them down with ease.
Keep an eye out for a passage on your left. You'll find Mysterious Fluid in a chest.
Just before the next save point, you'll spot a chest with a Belladonna Wand for Vanille.
Save your game. When you get to a circular area, stick to the right to find the Procyons.
As you move on, watch out for an offshoot to your left. You'll find a Doctor's Code.
Save your game and go forth. You'll run across your first Scalebeast. These enemies are possible to take down, but it's very difficult and not worth it. Try to avoid these guys and exit any accidental encounters that occur.
Make your way to the next marker. Ignore the treasure chest being guarded by a Scalebeast. It's not worth the time investment.
Grab the chest with the Librascope.
A little bit further on, there will be a chest with ten Scaled Wings.
Arrive at the marker and watch the cutscene.
Go to the next marker and watch the cutscene.
Hit the save point and proceed to the next marker.
Watch the cutscene. The energy ball has the ability to change the weather. The kinds of enemies you'll encounter in this area are dependent on whether it is rainy or sunny.
After the cutscene is over, don't touch the first energy ball. It'll throw an annoying Wyvern in your path. Though defeatable, there are easier enemies that provide better experience for the time invested.
Stop the rain at the next energy ball and head to the right. Grab the Metal Armband in the chest.
Start the rain at the next ball.
Head down the path. At the next fork in the road, head left and stop the rain at the energy ball without alerting the Scalebeast.
Grab the Aqua Ring by where the Scalebeast was before the rain stopped.
Continue on to the next energy ball. Take down the Wyvern along the way. Use Saboteur and Synergist classes to help out.
Change the weather after the Wyvern and continue to the next save point.
Level up and get ready for a boss fight before you head to the next marker. After the battle walk to the next marker.

CHAPTER 7

You start the chapter in control of Lightning and Hope. Save your game and level up.
Make your way to the marker. Try to sneak up on enemies to take them out. On the way, try to find your way in between two trucks to the Fiber-optic Cable.
Hop down into the pipe. Head down the left passage to pick up three Holy Water.
Continue to the marker. Along the way you'll run across several difficult enemies. Use Hope's Synergist abilities to buff your characters, in addition to the basic Paradigm switching and and scanning techniques.
When you run down into a large slanted pipe, check to your right to find a Librascope to your right.
Save your game at your next save point.
Make your way to the next marker. You'll find yourself at a floating platform.
Ride the platform across the way. When you arrive, interact with the left buoy on that side. Ride the platform again and it should take you to a platform with two treasure chests containing Holy Water and a Phoenix Down.
Take the platform back, and follow the markers to the next one. Before you get on, modify the left buoy in the same way as you did the last one. Ride the platform and you'll find a Aqua Ring and two Mobius Coils being guarded by several enemies. You'll have to take on some dangerous Lucidon. You should be able to take them out at your current level using the strategies discussed above for difficult enemies.
Ride the platform back and follow the event markers. Grab the Warding Talisman along the way.
Save your game at the next save point and walk to the marker.
Watch the cutscenes.
You'll start the next section in Gestalt mode with the Shiva sisters. Use your points as you see fit and you should end up with a solo Snow, with just a few enemies left. Use the Sentinel role to avoid excessive damage and switch to Commando when the opportunity presents itself., or you can summon the Shiva sisters again.
After the battle, level up Snow.
Save your game and make your way to the next marker. Be sure to target any PSICOM Bombardier you encounter in groups of enemies. Their rocket launchers can throw your battle plans into disarray.
At the first fork you encounter, take the left to find the Power Smoke at the chest near where the path ends. After you walk up the ice, grab the Paladin that will be to your right.
Head left when you hop into a narrow alleyway. Grab the Insulated Cabling.
Go to the next marker and save your game.
Head to the next marker.
After the cutscene you'll start in control of Fang and Lightning.
Level them up.
Hit the next marker.
Watch the cutscene and you'll start again in control of Snow and Hope.
Save your game.
Turn around and grab the treasure chest behind you.
Head to the next marker.
Hop up onto the walkway that will be to your left. You can grab two Incentive Chips.
Jump down from the walkway and continue on.
Grab the Guardian Amulet before the save point.
Save your game and make your way to the next marker, and the marker after that.
After the cutscene, you'll find yourself on a rooftop. Run to the next save point and save your game.
Go to the marker.
When you hop down to the next level, head left and grab the Shaman's Mark.
Watch out for the Falco Velocycle that are in this area. Use buffs and Snow's Sentinel abilities to survive these encounters.
Don't take the first passage to the right. Instead, find the path behind the billboards and grab the Thrust Bearing.Run back and take the path you passed earlier and find the Vidofnir at the end of it.
Make your way to the next marker. Be sure to find the Ethersol to your left.
Save your game at the next save point, level up, and get ready for a boss fight.
After the fight, you'll find yourself in control of Lightning and Fang. The enemies are tough around here, so you'll need to sneak up on them. Particularly the Lodestar Behemoth. Try to take him out quickly or he'll become bipedal, regenerate, and unleash some devastating attacks on your party.
From the starting point, do a 180 and grab the chest behind you.
Save your game and move on, grabbing the Gae Bolg along the way.
Use the techniques discussed to take on the Lodestar Behemoth that stands in the way.
Walk to the marker.
From there, head to the next marker, grabbing the Axis Blade along the way.
Watch the cutscene.
Save your game and head right from the starting point to grab the Tungsten Bangle from the chest.
Take the left passage and find the Black Belt.Run to the next save point, save your game and get ready to fight. After the fight you'll find yourself in control of Fang. Grab the Phoenix Down and head to the marker.
Save your game and walk to the next marker. Switch on the TV.
You'll find yourself in battle. Take out weaker enemies first. When in trouble, use Hope to heal and Fang to defend.
After the battle, save your game.
You may want to grind in this area. The PSICOM Predator will drop valuable credit chips that can be sold for high price.
Grab the Ethersol by the save point and the Brawler's Wristband at the opposite end of the house before you head to the marker.

CHAPTER 8

You'll start as Sazh and Vanille. Level them up and save your game.
Head to the next marker.
Go to the marker after that.
Go to the next marker again.
Walk over to the next marker (tired of this yet?) and hop in the shuttle.
Head out of the spoke you find yourself in, and walk to the spoke furthest to the right. Grab the Phoenix Down there.
Head to the next marker and hunt out Sazh's Chocobo. You'll have to find him four times.
Grab the reward from the chest. Save your game after reaching the next marker.
Finally, some fighting at the marker after that.
After the cutscene, you'll find yourself next to a save point. Save your game and make your way down the zig-zagging path. Grab the Spica Defenders? along the way.
At the first fork in the road, take a right and grab the Guardian Amulet.
At the fork after that, take a left to get the Healer's Staff.
Head to the marker.Walk to the next marker.

CHAPTER 9

You'll start as Lightning. Save your game and talk to the crew. Walk to the marker and talk to Cid when you're done.
You'll start in battle with Lightning, Fang and Hope. Take out the enemies.
When you're done, save your game, level up and engage the enemies in front of you.
Hit the switch on the red circle in front of you.
Jump on the blue circle.
Hop up the machinery, and hook a right at the top to grab the treasure in the chest.
Walk to the next marker.
Use Fang's Saboteur abilities to weaken the enemies in this area. They're particularly useful against the mechanized enemies you'll encounter.
Once you come to an area that requires you to jump up to a catwalk, head as far right as possible to pick up some Incentive Chips in a chest.
Head to the marker and when you jump up to another catwalk, be sure to keep an eye out of a chest with Silicone Oil in the area.
Save your game at the next save point.
Be sure to grab Lightning's Lifesaber from a chest after the next save point.
Head to the next marker and pick up the Ember Ring and Pandoran Spear along the way.
After the cutscene you'll start as Sazh and Vanille. Save your game and level up.
Head towards the marker and hit the switch.Walk through the door and hook a right, and a right immediately after that.
Flip the switch and take out the enemies to gain access to the chest with a Royal Armlet in it.
Run towards the marker, grab the Murky Ooze and flip the switch to move on.
After the cutscene, you'll be back to Lightning's group. Go through the door.
Save your game.
From this point on you'll encounter a lot of Vikings. There can be up to three at a time. They have a lot of HP, so feel free to avoid them.
The next room is made of interlocking circles. Grab the Pain Dampener and White Cape at the extreme east and west.
Don't forget the Perfect Conductor and Rhodochrosite at the center.
Exit the area and go to the next marker.
Back to Sazh and Vanille. Level up and save your game.
When fighting here, be sure to attack the Falanitor before you take out the Flanborg. Falanitor will heal their counterparts almost as fast as you can damage them.
Run around the left side of the circle to find the Segmented Carapace.
Head towards the center to grab the Phoenix Down.
Run to the next marker.
Back to Lightning and company.
Run behind you to grab the Whistlewind Scarf.
Make your way to the next marker.
Grab the chest with the Perfect Conductor to to the east of the map.
Save your game at the next save point.
Don't go down the ramp by the save point. Instead, walk around the pit to grab the Barbed Tail on the far side.
Go down the ramp and proceed on into the furthest pit from the bottom. You'll find a chest containing 300 Gil.
Head back up and hug the right wall to find a Spark Ring.
Go to the next save point. You'll fight this next boss two times. It's weaker the first time around, but the strategy for taking it down is the same. After the custscene, you'll have control of your party members. From now on, we will occasionally be giving recommendations for the ideal party. More often, we will specify which Paradigms to use.
Use a party consisting of Lightning, Hope and Vanille.
Save your game.
You'll find yourself in an area that consists of three rows of platforms linked by extendable bridges. For the optimum CP and item gain, you'll need to hit every single one. We recommend proceeding down the center path and then heading left. Pick up the Gold Bangle, 3600 Gil, Librascope and Pain Dampener along the left side. Then grab the Umbra, Rune Bracelet, and Perfect Conductor along the right. The enemies in this area are nothing special, so just use the same tactics you've been using and you'll be all right.
Once you've collected all the items, save your game. Grab the Ethersol by the save point and head to the next marker.

CHAPTER 10

You'll start off as Lightning.
Walk to the marker. When you get the chance to form your party, head it with Lightning and throw in Fang and Vanille to support.
Make your way to first marker and pick up the Hero's Amulet along the way.
Keep your eyes open for a passage to your left that will lead you to a Bomb Shell.
Save your game at the next save point.
At the next open room, head to the passage at the far left to pick up a Saint's Amulet from the chest.
Make your way down the passage opposite the Saint's Amulet. Hop up the platforms that will be to your right when you exit the tunnel. Follow that path and you'll find Medicinal Oil in a chest at the end of the path.
Return to the main path, and at the next fork in the road head right to find a Rainbow Anklet.
Save your game. From this point you have three paths to choose from.
Continue down the main walkway to fight the most enemies, but gain the most CP and treasure. Walk halfway down the path to the left and hop down—this more or less delivers you to the same spot as the first option. You can also walk all the way down the path to the left and then hop down—this option allows you to sneak up on any enemies you choose and still gives you access to the 600 Gill chest below.
You face similar choice again now, but all three roads deliver you to more or less the same place. So jump down to the next platform and proceed to the next save point.
After the save point, you'll find yourself in a room with a very powerful enemy, the Berserker While difficult to take down with a frontal assault, sneaking around its backside is easy. Once staggered, the Berserker falls easily. Once you've taken care of him, grab the Rigels from the chest.
Continue to the next save point. From there, look to the right to find a Guardian Amulet.Run over to the next marker, grabbing the Alicanto from the chest along the way.
After the the Alicanto chest, keep your eyes peeled for a path to the right that will lead to a chest with seven Gargantuan Claw.
Grab the Metal Band and Ethersol in the next open room.
Save your game, level up, and get ready for a boss fight. After the battle, keep on moving to the next checkpoint. You'll start seeing a lot of three-way battles, so go back to the strategies you learned earlier to deal with them.
You'll be able to choose between three paths after your first three-way battle. All paths lead to the same place, so pick one and save your game at the next save point.
Make your way to the next marker and be sure to grab the Feymark along the way.
Another three paths to choose from. Pick the furthest path if you want to avoid combat with a Greater Behemoth.
Go to the next marker and take the next left you find. You'll find yourself fighting a Berserker. Take him down and you'll get three shiny new electrodes to play with.
Make your way to the next save point and save your game. Hop onto the elevator. Kill the enemies and move on when the elevator reaches its destination.
Head to the next marker and fight the Berserker if you want.
Save your game and run down the path. Don't miss the Otherworldly Bone on your left.
Save your game at the next save point. Get ready to fight Bahaumut.

CHAPTER 11

When you start off, head to the first event marker.Grab the Partisan from the chest along the way.Once the battle is over, head to the story marker in the Archylte Steppe.
At this point you are not powerful enough to continue on in the story. If you follow the main story mission mark, you will not be able to continue. Follow the steps below to level up with a minimum amount of grinding.
Time to get powerful:.
Some enemies in this area will kill you in one hit. Just get used to it. Check out the enemy list to learn which ones will to avoid.
Accept Mission 1.

Run back to where the 1827 Gil treasure chest was.

Head a back to where you accepted Mission 6.
Walk past the mission marker and grab the Rhodochrosite in the treasure chest.
Walk up the stairs, grab two treasure chests, and accept Mission 7.
Run downstairs and fight the Mission 7 monster.
The cutscene after Mission 7 will activate missions on the Archylte Steppe.
After Mission 7 you may be able to get Hermes Sandals, a powerful accessory that will cast auto-haste. We say "maybe" because it doesn't always work for all gamers. No one has yet figure out all the factors involved, but if you follow the following four steps, you stand a good chance of getting your hands on the Hermes Sandals.
Purchase four Iron Bangles.
After you've taken down the Mission 7 enemy you should have obtained a Tetradic Tiara or a Tetradic Crown.
Upgrade the tetra accessory to star level.
Deconstruct the four Iron Bangle and then the starred Tetra accessory
Did you get the Hermes Sandals? If not, reload your game and try again. If you don't get them after a few tries, there's not a whole lot you can do.
Walk to event marker—watch the cutscene with the flying snake thing.
Head back to Vallis Media.
Go and hit up the Mission 8 maker by the Chapter 11 starting point.
Run back towards the Yaschas Massif, you'll find the Mission 8 monster near the waterfall with the treasure chest. Take it out.
Head to the Archylte Steppe starting point.
Hit up the Mission 9 marker west of the starting point.Head to the Mission 9 monster. It is almost due north of the mission marker.

From the Mission 9 monster, run southeast and hit up the Mission 10 mission marker.
Head northeast to Mah'Habara, the next monster is just before the entrance to the next area.
Fight the Mission 10 monster.
Run back into the heart Archylte Steppe and hug the cliff that will be to your left. Run past the Adamantoise and head up north.
Find the Mission 11 statue. You'll know you are getting close when the sky turns green.
Run down due south, just east of the Archylte Steppe starting point and fight the Mission 11 monster.
Head west and stay close to the southern wall until you find yourself in a canyon heading south.
You'll come to a dead end and the Mission 12 marker.
Activate the marker. Before you take on Mission 12, make sure you've leveled up to the point that you have at least 2500 HP.
Head north into the plain and go towards the far west, while sticking as far south as you can, until you hit the Mission 12 monster.
On the way, pick up the chests in the area containing a Librascope, eight Smooth Hide, a Fire Charm, and an Ice Charm.
Defeating Mission 12 should allow you to pass the red gate that blocked the path where you got this mission. However, before you head there, head to where you fought the Mission 11 monster and access the Mission 13 mission marker just east of there.
Run to the save point leading to Mah'Habara. You'll find the Mission 13 monster northeast of there...kill it.
Head down towards the red gate. On the way, you should find a chest with 2615 Gil, and on the other side of the lake you'll see the Mission 14 marker.

Okay, one more thing. Find and hop on a Chocobo.
Head north to a large rock outcropping. It will be surrounded by Adamantoise-like enemies and will have the Mission 16 marker on the east side. Navigate around the Adamantoise to the Chocobo jump on the north side.
Use the Chocobo to dig and find the hidden treasure.
Watch the cutscene with the Cactuar. From this point on, you should find Cactuar here and there around the plain. They're very fast, so they may be hard to catch. Try beating the one that's hanging around after the cutscene.
Hop off your Chocobo, grab the treasures on the plateau, and head into Mah'Habara.
Walk along the path.
Grab the Hauteclaire from the chest.
Take a left at the first opportunity. This is a great place to grind enemies for even more experience. The enemies in this little section die easily and give massive CP. However, do not trigger the cutscene by the door! It will unleash a powerful Juggernaut, and there is no way you are powerful enough to take it on...yet. You can come back and show it who's boss after you beat the game.
Run back down to the main path towards the event marker.
Run and fight the Cryohedrons and Pulsework Centurions.
Run down further. By a single Pulsework Centurion, you should find two treasure chests that contain four Electrodes and four Chobham Armor. Continue down to the event marker.
When you get to the platform with the mission marker, there are two options: take the first path to the left to continue along the main story. Take the stairs behind the mission marker to head along a path that contains several valuable items that can be used to upgrade your weapons. Battle against a Tyrant and the mission marker for Mission 53. Similar to the Juggernaut, we recommend you proceed along the main story path and come back here later.
Proceed along the main path until the save point. Grab the Saint's Amulet along the way.
Save your game, go forward until the fight with Vanille's summon begins.Continue to run down the path until you get to the next save point. Grab the Ice Charm along the way.
At the save point, head down the platform to the right and grab the Particle Accelerator.
Avoid the Juggernaut, and head left where the Pulsework Centurions and Cryohedrons are. At the next fork in the road, head right and nab the Crystal Oscillator.
Proceed down the path and grab the three Perfect Conductor from the chest.
You should find a switch at the end of the path. Hit it and run down the platform, and hitch a ride to the lake.
Run towards the event marker. Watch the cutscene, and grab the Strange Fluid.
Hop the stones to the next platform and fight the monsters there. Jump on the platform to the left. You should see a whirlpool you can interact with. Do it.
This raises two different platforms. The first one is where you watched the last cutscene. It has valuable treasures; go grab them. You'll have to fight some monsters to get it.
The next is on the far right of a chain of islands to the right of your current platform. Explore the islands and grab all the treasure there.
Head towards the event marker. Get the Abyssal Scale on your way.
After the cutscene, save your game. Stay on the path.
Grab the Cie'th Tear and continue along the path.
Save your game again and head towards the event marker. Pick up the Sinister Fangs on the way.
Welcome to the tower! On the first floor, grab the three treasure chests and head towards the event marker. Hit the switch and head to the second floor.
Second floor: In order to proceed, you'll need to clear Missions 21, 22, and 23. Look at the Hunts Guide for further information on the location of the monsters. Once you've cleared the missions, grab the two treasure chests on this floor.
Before proceeding to the next floor, you may want to farm the Pulsework Gladiator here for experience. They're immobile in their stagger state and extremely easy to kill.
Once satisfied, proceed to the third floor. On the third floor, head towards the event marker.
Go out into the central corridor. Grab the two Metal Armband from the treasure chest and take the elevator up to the fourth floor.
On the fourth floor, grab the treasure chest with the Glass Orb. While you can proceed directly to the sixth floor from the elevator near here, you won't be able to go any farther unless you hit some switches on the fifth floor. Head to the elevator on the other side of the floor, and make your way up to the fifth.
In order to proceed, you'll need to complete three more missions, just like the floors below. The missions are marked one by one by event markers. The Mission 25 marker is actually located on the sixth floor, so there's a lot of footwork involved. When you activate the Mission 25 marker, a stairway that leads to the second half of floor five is revealed. Watch out for the Tyrant. Hit the switch there to unlock the elevator on the sixth floor to proceed.
Go to the seventh floor and hit the switch near the enemies there. This will connect all the floors to the central elevator. Follow the event markers and take the elevator up to the top floor.
On the top floor, walk around the outside of the ring and grab the Ethersol and the other treasure chest. Head to the mission marker in the center for the boss battle.
Once you defeat the boss, follow the mission markers and hitch a ride to Oerba.
Run from the starting save point to the next save point. Hop the broken road and catch the first left for a treasure chest with Perovskite in it.
Hook a right and run past the Mission 28 marker down the path to the event marker.
Watch the cutscene and head forward into the group of enemies.
Run into the shack and up to the second floor. Activate the robot lying on the floor. Head out into the main area and grab the part in the junked vehicle.
Run into the orange building. Fight the enemy and grab the part.Grab the treasure chest by the shack.
Run down the path by the treasure chest and fight the first enemy you see. That should give you your third part.
Be sure to grab the chest up the stairs to your left; it should contain a Librascope.
Run towards the event marker, but hook a right into the workshop. Grab the fourth part in there in there, next to the red circle. Stay in the building and head upstairs. Grab the Moogle Puppetand the Mnar Stone.
Head back downstairs and continue towards the event marker. When you get to the destroyed road, head left and pick up the treasure from the chest.
Run down the path a bit and pick up the last part.
Head back and activate the robot. Get your stuff and head towards the event marker. Grab the Taming Pole and Ethersol along the way.Investigate the mission marker.
Head to the airship to end the chapter.

CHAPTER 12

Run towards the event marker. On the second round circular platform, take the path that leads southeast. Go straight at the first intersection and you'll find Lightning's best weapon, the Lionheart.
Return to the round platform. Head due north. Take the first right. Take a right at the dead end. You'll find a chest with 9240 Gil in it.
Continue to the event marker and watch the cutscene.
Save your game and proceed to the next marker.
Watch the scene and hit up the next marker.
Catch a ride and get ready to battle the Behemoth King .
Run to the next event marker.
Be sure to grab the Rebel Heart along the way.
Just before the next save point is a Otshirvani, the weapon we recommend for Hope. You'll have to fight the Proto-behemoth to get access to it.
Once you do pick the weapon up up, save your game and move on to the boss battle.Ride the elevator and walk to the event marker.
Fight the Adamanchelid. Use a Saboteur to weaken it up and have a Commando in your party. The Commando will be immune to many of the enemy attacks while he or she is up in the air attacking.
Save your game and proceed along the path.
Pick up the Punisher along the way.
Proceed to the next event marker and hop down to the road below.
Run along the road. You'll encounter lots of three-way battles. Use the same strategies that we've discussed to dispatch enemies. Stick to the right and turn that way at the first opportunity, and you'll encounter a chest with 15000 Gil.
Proceed to the next marker. When you get to the twin stairways gated by Adamanchelid, grab the Perfect Conductor from the chest.
Go right if you want to avoid conflict, go left to fight some more enemies at the bottom the stairwell. You'll probably want to fight.
It would be extremely beneficial to grind CP for your party right now. Particularly Vanille's Saboteur abilities- be sure you level up to the point that you have access to the Death spell.
Open the door and continue along the path to the save point. Save your game and continue on to the fork in the road. Take the right path. This will allow you to pick up an Ember Ring if you stick to the right of the circle.
Continue along the path and pick up the Librascope along the way.
In the second opening, be sure to pick up the Particle Accelerator and Champion's Badge. Clear out any enemies you wish to and go to the event marker.
Save your game just outside the door. Proceed along the path past the save point to get the Pleiades Hi-Powers in a chest.
Then make your way to the next marker.
The enemies here might be a bit challenging, so feel free to grind a little before you continue.
After the cutscene, get ready to fight Adamantoise. The battle is entirely optional, but it will net you 40000 CP. Nearly half an hour's worth of fighting from a single battle. To take him down quickly, follow these four steps.
Set Vanille as party leader and summon her Eidolon.
As soon as the Eidolon fells the enemy, recall him.
Cast Death.
Profit.
Continue into the building. Climb the stairs on either side to get access to the 12-023 and 12-024.
Grab the Particle Accelerator and Plush Chocobo if you feel like tangling with the enemies on the inside of the building.
Run to the door marked by the event marker and open it.
Run to the save point and save your game. Grab the Mistilteinn.
Proceed to the next event marker.
When the cutscene ends, you'll have your choice between a Juggernaut and a Tyrant. Take on the Juggernaut if you want to outrun the Tyrant. If you want to grind experience, take on both of them.
Run to the next event marker. Be sure to grab the Power Glove along the way.
Grab the Ethersol from the chest and get ready for another boss.Save your game and ride up to the central tower.

CHAPTER 13

Head up the stairs into the main chamber.
Watch the cutscene and save your game.
Clear the path to the next event marker and watch the cutscene.
You now have a choice: the gate to your left will warp you to the Edenhall.
The gate to your right will warp you back to The Vallis Media from Chapter 11. Take this chance to go on additional hunts and optional quests. This will be your last chance to do so before the final boss.
Once you've played around enough, go to the next platform and save point.
Save your game, but don't go to the event marker just yet. Instead, hop up on the path that extends on the side opposite the event marker. Run down the path and fight off the Aquila Velocycle to get access to a Librascope.
Hop up on the series of platforms by the scope. Take on the Megrim Thresher in order to get access to a Cherub's Crown and Millerite.
Grab the items and head to the event marker.
Interact with the white statue.
Hop on the platform that was to the left of where the statue was.
Get off the platform and take a right at the first intersection.
Continue onto the path above until you find the Supercharger.
Run down to the path below. Continue past the platform that brought you here.
Stick to the right and hop onto the platforms below. Continue on until you find the Perfect Conductor treasure chest.
Pull a 180 and go down the ramp to find the Turboprop.Go back up the ramp and hop onto the top platform. Run across and pop up to the platforms on the opposite side.
Fight the Megrim Thresher and grab the treasure near it.
Run back to the floating platform and ride it back to where the statue was.
Run onto the opposite floating platform and ride it. You should see a chest with twenty Seaking's Beards. Grab it and proceed to the next event marker.
Along the way you should see a ramp to your left that leads up. Take it.
Grab the Aegisol to the right.
Head to the forked path in the opposite direction and grab the Tear of Woe and Zephyr Ring from the chests there.
Descend down the ramp and head to the event marker. Pick up the Shamanic Spear along the way.
Save your game and activate the statue.
Go forward and hop on the platform to the right.
Continue past the first patch of enemies you encounter. The path they guard leads back to the first white statue you encountered in this chapter.
Continue on going straight and hop onto the path to your left. From that path keep on going north until you find the chest with the Tetradic Crown.
Follow the next event marker and ride the platform down to the next save point.
Don't jump to the next platform. Instead continue on, hugging the right, and grab the six Starblossom Seeds.
Make your way to the next event marker. Be sure to grab the Black Mycelium and Rhodochrosite, along the way.
Activate the statue.Watch the cutscene and save your game, and make your way to the next event marker.
Instead of heading to the next event marker, head straight and take on the the Immortal. If you're having trouble, use Sneaking Smoke to get the jump on him. Once you've taken care of him, warp through the gate he was guarding.
Grab the Weirding Glyph and Adamant Bangle, then warp through the next gate.
Grab the Scarletite and Elixer, then warp through the gate.
Head towards the event marker.
Save your game and activate the black statue.
Fight the Wladislaus.
Save your game. Run to the event marker. Watch the cutscene and run towards the next marker.
Pick up the chests filled with 3000 and 5000 Gil respectively along the way.
At the top of the ramps you'll encounter Bandersnatch and Jabberwocky; use the same battle strategy on them that you did earlier.
Continue towards the event marker until you get to the three Sanctum Templar. Take them down and proceed to the next statue.Go to the event marker.
Activate the warp gate.
Save and prepare for the Final Battle.

Lost Planet 2 (PlayStation 3) - Guide

Prologue

When the mission begins follow the VS through the snow. After a short distance you'll encounter some Akrid. Shoot the Sepia first and then bring down their Genessa spawning points. At this point the VS should break down. A short cutscene will trigger. After it wraps up, capture the nearby data post and scale the nearby cliff wall with your grappling hook. Proceed toward the enemy camp.
When you reach the top of the cliff wall, you'll come across a crate containing a rocket launcher. Shoot it with some thermal energy to open it up. Take the rocket launcher and continue. You'll come across swarm of Trilid and a Chryatis. Kill the Trilid first and then focus your fire on the Chryatis. After this an evac chopper should arrive. Board it to end the mission.

EPISODE 1

CHAPTER 1
Mission One

The mission begins in the jungle with lots of Trilid attacking you. Shoot them down and advance. You need to activate all the local data posts. Proceed down the jungle corridor. You'll encounter some Sepia along the way. Kill anything that gets in your way. You'll be informed of some reinforcements dropping in and are ordered to meet up with them. When you near the new team, another Chryatis will show up. Bring it down and continue toward the next data post. You should encounter some more Sepia. Kill them all and advance. When you reach the end of the area the mission will complete.

Mission Two

When the next mission begins your objective will be to head toward the mine. Advance, you should come to a river with a bunch of Trilid swarming at a distance. Gun the down before they notice you. Cross the river and continue through the level. You'll encounter a large swarm of Sepia and Bolsepia. You obviously should kill them all. Clear out the initial cluster of Akrid and then target the Genessa that are spawning them. If you'd like a bit of extra firepower, there's a VS in the area. Also, don't overlook the nearby data post. It can be easy to pass over in the jungle shrubbery.
The path will branch to the left and right. Proceed either way and you should meet hostile human soldiers. A good strategy here is to let your allies take one path and then go down the other to flank the enemy soldiers. Kill this first group of soldiers and continue through the jungle. It's easy to go around in circles here so if you find yourself in terrain you've already covered, take a glance at your PDA and check the map. You'll encounter some more soldiers guarding a closed gate. Kill them and then hack the gate control to open it. Doing so will end the mission and trigger a cutscene.

Mission Three

The next mission starts near the aforementioned mining facility. You need to activate five generators in order to make some mining equipment malfunction. Upon entering the mine you'll encounter heavy resistance. Take some time to clear out the enemy forces and learn the locations of the generators. Once the coast is clear, go around the mine and activate all five of them. Generator 1 is located to the northeast of the map. Generator 2 is located in a hallway to the east. Generator 3 is located on a catwalk toward the southeast. Generator 4 is located at the center of the map. Generator 5 is located near 3 on the ground level. The mine is multileveled, so don't get discouraged if you can't find everything initially. Just keep looking around. Activating all five generators will trigger a cutscene.
After the cutscene ends a countdown will begin. At zero the mine will be destroyed. Unfortunately, the enemy have their own ideas about your plan. A large group of soldiers will attack you. You need to hold them off for ninety seconds. There are four control units scattered about the facility. The soldiers will try to deactivate these and disrupt the countdown. You obviously need to keep them running. Kill the soldiers as they come and reactivate any control units they shut down. When the countdown ends you need to get out of the mine before it explodes. This will end the mission and chapter.
CHAPTER 2

Mission One

When the next chapter begins you'll be instructed to head toward the reservoir area. Just run straight ahead. There are a lot of minor Akrid in the area. Most pose little threat, but there you will encounter a Chryatis that can cause you more trouble. While you're killing the Akrid, make a point of activating any data posts you come across. There are four in the area. The first three are scattered throughout the area, and the last is located toward the northwest where the mission ends. When you've activated all of them head toward the exit.

Mission Two

Boss Battle: Queen
When this mission begins you'll spawn in an industrial area. You'll receive orders to meet up with some reinforcements. Head to the nearby data post. When you near it you'll come under attack by a Category G Akrid that goes by the name of Queen. Your objective is now to kill it. There are a few things to watch for. Besides her massive size, she has a nasty freezing beam that affects a wide area. If you get caught in its blast radius, it will leave you frozen and vulnerable. To kill her, aim for the head. This can be more difficult than it sounds. Queen likes to move around a lot, making it hard to keep her noggin in your sights. You may note some small, orange appendages lining her sides. Shoot them off and her head will fall forward bringing it closer into range. Shoot them back off when they grow back. Its arms can also be shot off, but they regenerate almost instantaneously, so don't bother. Just continue this process until Queen goes down.
When the Queen is dead continue along up the stairs to right hand side of the platform you were just fighting on. You should come across a data post and VS. Activate the data post and mount the VS. After you do this, advance forward. You'll encounter a large group of Akrid; Sepia mostly. Fight your way through them, and then after wiping them out, head to the closed gate in the northwest. When you pass through the mission and chapter will end.
CHAPTER 3

Mission One
Head straight into the jungle. Your initial objective is to activate the local data posts. When you go a certain distance you'll encounter some enemy soldiers holding position on a bridge. They're guarding a data post. Kill them and activate it. Continue forward and you'll encounter more soldiers and a turret. There's a lot of potential cover here so it shouldn't be too hard to make your way through. Destroy the turret and mop up any remaining soldiers while proceeding to the top floor of the structure. Once you get to the top you'll run into an enemy VS and a second turret. Together these two can be dangerous. Keep close to cover and take your time taking them down. After you destroy the turret and VS hack the gate control to end the mission.

Mission Two
You'll receive orders to activate all the area's data posts. There are three in total, and they are grouped relatively close together. When you move forward you'll almost immediately come under fire from an enemy turret. Find some cover and destroy it. Push forward and you'll meet heavy resistance in the form of enemy soldiers, automated turrets and hostile VS's. This part can be a bit difficult. The enemy's numbers aren't overwhelming, but they often have good cover and hold the high ground. Take your time in clearing them out. When you activate all the data posts a cutscene will trigger.
Enemy reinforcements have arrived and it's your job to kill them all. Its maneuverability and firepower are far great than anything you can muster on foot, so it's suggested you mount it. The enemy force is comprised mainly of foot soldiers and VS's. You start on the high ground, so try to take out as many as you can from up high before jumping down to meet them on the ground. If you lose your VS and you feel the need for extra firepower there are some containers holding a rocket launcher and Gatling gun on the bridge. If you're playing with friends don't miss the multi-seat VS at the bottom of the hill to the south.

Mission Three
Boss Battle: Cordlant
Advance forward; you should almost immediately find a couple of wrecked VS's. The first holds a Gatling gun while the second has a VS rocket launcher. Take whichever you prefer. Move forward and you'll come to a cliff. Jump down and you'll meet up with a group of allied soldiers. Move toward them Cordlant will emerge. Cordlant has more bark then bite. Most of its attacks are only effective at close range. That said, if you get hit prepare to take some damage. There are a lot of ways to hurt him. Its main weak spot are the orange protrusions sticking out of its back. Shoot the smaller ones first and then aim for the bigger, central one. If you can jump onto the Akrid's back it makes shooting them easier.
With all of this done, it's time to really deal some damage. The best way to do this is to blow of Cordlant's legs. Aim for its knee caps. As they take more damage they'll glow bright orange until they're blow away. Cordlant should collapse and you can then run inside its mouth. Doing so will let you attack its innards and shoot its heart. After you do a lot of damage it will spit you out. If you want some extra firepower there is a live VS mixed amongst the wrecked ones scattered around the area. When you kill the Akrid the mission, chapter and episode will end.

EPISODE 2

CHAPTER 1
Mission One

When the mission starts you'll be tasked with infiltrating the enemy city. There's a crate with a sniper rifle to the northeast of your starting position. Grab it if you fancy some headshots. You'll come to a searchlight. You'll meet a number of these that need to be avoided. You can't shoot them out, so don't bother trying. Using your grappling hook, climb the wall to the roof of the building in front of you.
Continue forward. There's a sniper on a building to your left. Kill him and advance. You'll come to a second searchlight. Avoid it and proceed. When you near the edge of the roof you'll come under fire by a pair of enemy soldiers below you. After you kill them jump down to their area. Head up the ramp nearby.
When you reach the top of the ramp you'll meet a large group of soldiers. Kill them and head into the corridor immediately in front of you. As you advance through the corridor you'll meet more soldiers. Take them down and proceed. You'll come to a section ringed in red. Pass through it to complete the mission and advance to the next area.

Mission Two
When the next mission begins, just press forward. Your objective is to destroy some obstructions ahead of you. You'll also be asked to capture all the local data posts. Advance into the city. You'll be attacked by some enemy soldiers taking cover in some bunkers. Use a grenade or a heavy weapon to destroy the walls and expose the soldiers to your fire. After you've killed the soldiers head up the stairs to your left. You'll encounter an enemy security sensor. Destroy it before proceeding to keep from setting off the alarm.
Continue through the city. You'll come to a data post. Kill the soldiers guarding it and capture it. You'll come to a flight of stairs. At the top there's another security drone. Destroy it and climb the stairs. There will be some more soldiers. After you've killed them you'll come upon another data post. Be careful! There's another security drone hidden in the shed to its left. Take it out before you move to activate the post or you'll trip the alarm and call in reinforcements.
Continue through the alleyways. You'll come to another data post being guarded by some soldiers. After they're all dead take the data post. This is the last one. After that's done with, head down the alley toward your objective, at the end of the alley is a red ringed corridor. Enter it to advance to the next area.

Mission Three
You're still after those obstructions! Your HQ will warn you about the slumdwellers being in a destructive mood. As you start into the alley they'll demonstrate it by blowing some stuff up and setting the surrounding buildings ablaze. You'll see a data post dead ahead. Head toward it, killing the enemy soldiers guarding it. They'll have a strong VS in their ranks, so make sure to give it some special attention. To the immediate right of the data post is a container holding a Gatling gun. Take it with you if you want some extra firepower.
You'll climb some stairs into an area that can best be described as an inferno. Careful! There's some flamethrower equipped soldiers in your path. Keep some distance between them and yourself and pick them off. Continue down the corridor and you should come across a data post. Capture it and press on. You'll come to a point held by some enemy soldiers. One of them has a flamethrower, but your attention should be on the sniper holed up at the rear center of the area. There are also some VS's. After you kill them all, jump down to the area below. Located in a room toward the back is a container containing some battle armor. Equip it to boost your defenses. Continue down the alley and you'll reach the end of the area. The mission will end here.

Mission Four
The next mission begins in a train station. You need to capture a command post so you can take control of a train heading into the city. When you reach the train tracks you'll be attacked by some enemy soldiers. Kill the soldiers and then climb the stairs to the catwalk above. Follow it to the east where you'll find the command post. A bit further, on the ground level there is also a data post. You may want to capture it before taking the command post.
After you capture the command post, you'll need to hold it. A two minute countdown will begin. You'll be attacked by some soldiers and drones. Hold the command post until the timer runs down and the mission and chapter will end.

CHAPTER 2

Mission One
You're riding the train you hijacked at the end of chapter one when you sight a powerful weapon that HQ wants captured. When the mission begins you'll be told to advance through the city toward your target. Head up the stairs and ride the cargo belt. Keep alert, there will be enemy soldiers waiting to shoot you from the side.
After awhile, the cargo belt will drop you a lower level. Just before that on your right, the mission will branch off into another area with a data post. Head that way. It's guarded by a couple of soldiers. Kill them and then capture the post to update your map. Continue along and you'll come to a wide hallway with another cargo belt running down then middle of it. This area is heavily guarded by soldiers and turrets, so take your time in clearing them out. There's a rocket launcher nearby, so don't hesitate to use it if you feel you could use an extra punch. There's also a T-ENG charger toward the right of the screen. Go and stand near it if you could use a little boost to your thermal energy.
Continue riding the cargo belt for a bit. When you reach the end it drops you into a massive grinder (aptly named the Pulverizer), so be make sure you're off the belt before then. Grapple up the wall to the right of the Pulverizer. Opposite your position there's another cargo belt. A cluster of enemy soldiers will be positioned there attacking you. A fun way to kill them is to let them get close to the edge of the belt and then, before they can run away, shoot them and watch fall into the Pulverizer. Follow the pathway to the next belt. There's a container along the way. Open it to find some battle armor. Then jump onto the cargo belt that the soldiers were attacking you from.
Work your way up the cargo belt. There will be another data post to your right. Take a moment to stop and activate it. After that's done you'll come to a spot with a trash crusher. With the cargo belt working against you it can be a bit tricky to get past it fast enough while it's up. Let it come down once and then when it starts to recede up again dash through. Unfortunately, there's a powerful group of soldiers waiting for you on the other side. Kill them and continue to the corridor on your right. You'll come to a ladder, climb it to complete the area and mission.

Mission Two
You'll begin the mission in a control room. Your objective here is again, to make your way to the enemy weapon. There are two hallways. One leading to a set of battle armor and a dead end, and another leading into the mission. Grab the battle armor first and then head down the other hallway. This mission is mainly a close range battle through tight hallways, so find and bring a shotgun. If you encounter any red doors, shoot them with a shotgun to open them, but be prepared because they generally lead to a flood of armored soldiers. Just follow the hallways and you should come to a data post. You'll be close to the exit, but not quite off scot free. Up ahead is a tightly packed group of soldiers just waiting for you to poke your head out. Lob a few grenades in and keep your shotgun loaded to give them a proper greeting. You should come to the exit and the mission will end.

Mission Three
As the mission starts you'll be tasked with capturing all the local data posts. There are three total. Jump down from the ledge that the mission begins on and head into the mission. You should quickly fall under fire by an enemy VS. Destroy it. On the right hand side of the street there should be a container holding a shield. Feel free to try it out if you want. With the VS destroyed pick off enemy remaining soldiers in the area and proceed forward.
At the end of the street you'll find the first data post. Activate it and head left toward the next street. You'll encounter another strong enemy force made up of infantry and a VS. Take down the VS first and then wipe out the soldiers. The second data post will be on the roof of a building on the left side of this street.
You'll come to a bridge. Careful! Up in the buildings on the other side is a pair of soldiers armed with rocket launchers and plasma rifles. You'll want to take them out before you advance as either one of them can take you down pretty easily. Advance down the bridge. A pair of VS's will advance with heavy weaponry. They'll have a few squads of infantry backing them up. Conventional weapons may take too much time to wear them down. Luckily, there are a bunch of VS weapons lying around the area near the last data post. The VS rifle in particular is useful to pick them off from a distance. Clear out the enemy units and then capture the last data post at the end of the bridge.
After the last data post is yours, you'll be told to kill all surviving defenders. This basically means kill everything in sight until the red bar at the bottom of the screen disappears. Just proceed through the area gunning down any enemies in your path. The enemy is just VS's and soldiers. The soldiers don't stand much chance, but most of the VS's carry heavy explosives of some sort and can knock you down pretty easily. Use any heavy or VS weapons you can find to kill them. Should you find an enemy spawn point, a door for instance, camp near it and just pick off the enemy soldiers as they appear. It's an easy way to wear the bar down. Do this and the mission and chapter will end.

CHAPTER 3

Mission One
You've captured the railway gun, but there's still more work to do. HQ needs you to capture some more data posts. Yippee, right? Oh well, best step to it. Take this as an opportunity to pick up some heavy weapons as you can as something big is coming, hint, hint. Don't miss the battle armor and stock up on rocket launchers. The three data posts are scattered across the map. Fight your way to each and activate them in turn.

Boss Battle: Akrid X
After capturing the data posts a Category G Akrid, named Akrid X shows up. The railway gun blows its head off, but that doesn't stop it in the slightest. When the battle begins, if you haven't accumulated a stockpile of heavy weapons do so now. Along the left side of the area are a collection of VS's, you may want to steal their weapons or hijack them for you purposes. After you've done this, keep your distance from Akrid X and shoot at its weak spots, namely where its head used to be. Its movements are a bit clumsy, but it can leap across the screen in a single bound. Its attacks are also very strong; its claw swipe can knock you halfway across the area while your wiping your health bar nearly clean. It also has access to some powerful and long range flame attacks that can cause you trouble. The key is just too keep moving and attack when you see an opening. Akrid X can take a beating, but just keep going and eventually he'll bite the dust.

EPISODE 3

CHAPTER 1
Boss Battle: Red Eye
Your train has been attacked by a Category G Akrid, aka, Red Eye. This battle is actually rather easy considering Red Eye's size and strength. Essentially, you just need to hold him off until your guys can finish loading all their explosive cargo into a bomb that Red Eye will then fatally devour. When the battle starts, head toward the rear of the train grabbing rocket launchers as you go. Red Eye will emerge from the sand and try to eat a train car. When he draws near enough, shoot a rocket into the orange part of his mouth. It's pretty large and hard to miss. If it connects he'll retreat back into the sand and try again. Keep this up until you receive a message telling you to head to your escape chopper. Then just run to the front of the drain and enjoy the ensuing cutscenes. This battle ends the mission.

CHAPTER 2
After your fight with Red Eye your chopper nears what looks like an abandoned settlement. When you get close you're shot down by sandraiders. As the mission begins, your task is simply to wipe them out. There will be a red bar at the bottom of the screen representing the sandraider's strength. When it runs out you'll complete the objective. As such, run around and slaughter anything and anyone that moves. Be careful, though. The sandraiders don't attack you head on, they like to hide in buildings and on rooftops and snipe you as you pass. Take your time and pick them off as they're trying to do to you.
Boss Battle: Debouse
After you kill the sandraiders, these two jerks will show up to give you a hard time. The key to Debouse is sound. They can't see well, so they frequently stand on their hind legs and listen. Stand perfectly still when they do this. You can reload your weapon and heal yourself, but if you try to shoot them or move you'll be hit with a stun attack and then mauled by one or both Debouse. Just wait them out and attack the vulnerable spots on their head and stomach. They can still attack you without listening but it's not as common and easier to avoid. Kill them both and the chapter will end.

CHAPTER 3
You're riding the train you snagged from the sandraiders in the last chapter when what should pull up alongside you? A train carrying one of the carpetbaggers rail guns! The carpetbaggers are none too happy to see you, so of course, a fight ensues. This mission isn't altogether too hard, it's more annoying. This is mainly because while the majority of the enemy forces are easy to bring down—infantry, attack choppers—the enemy train is also equipped at several points with quick firing rocket turrets. They're hard to distinguish from the rest of the train at first, and if you don't take them out they'll bombard you like mad, often knocking you off the train to an instant death. To defeat them, grab a rocket launcher from the sizable weapons cache inside the passenger car, hop on the roof and hit them from a distance. When they get up close they're much more dangerous, so destroying them at range is important. Besides this just shoot the enemy soldiers until this part of the mission ends.
A brief cutscene will trigger after which you'll be on the enemy train. You need to capture the train which of course, means capturing a bunch of data posts. There are three in total. One other thing to note is that the enemy has two trains running alongside one another. You can use your grappling hook to jump between the two at most any time. Work your way from the starting point toward the front of the train. Advance a bit and you'll note a VS located on the second train to your right. It's guarded by a few soldiers, but you may as well take it, unless you have something against increased mobility and firepower. Just be careful, the VS can have trouble jumping between trains. Shortly past the VS you'll find the first data post located on the second train.
After you've captured the first data post continue toward the front of the trains. You'll encounter increased resistance as you advance, including another rocket turret. Destroy it and proceed, killing any other soldiers you come across. If you've been advancing along the roofs of the train cars take a little time every now and then to drop into the actual cars themselves and clear out any soldiers hiding inside. This way if you die won't encounter them when you respawn and they can't hit you from behind as you advance. You'll find the second data post back on the first train, further up.
Continuing toward the next data post you'll encounter another rocket turret. Take it and press forward. You should come to an empty attack chopper on one of the cars on the first train. If you feel up for a little airborne domination board it and lay waste to the enemy soldiers. The last data post is in the passenger car just after the attack chopper. If you find yourself on the railway gun itself, you've gone too far. After you've done this another cutscene will trigger.

Boss Battle: Red Eye
Red Eye is back for more. This battle is more involved then your last encounter with this galoot. This is mostly because you're using the rail gun as your main weapon this time. First things first, Red Eye will consistently attack the train you're on. The blue health bar at the bottom of the screen represents your train's health. When it starts to get lower things will catch fire. To repair the train, seek out the coolant units located in its lower sections. They're near some data posts that you should also activate. Beyond this, the battle is mainly a lather-rinse-repeat process of loading the rail gun, aiming and shooting Red Eye. You'll find shells scattered about the rail gun. To load it, just pick one up and carry it to the loading section behind the gun itself. The gun can only hold three shells at a time. Then move up the gunner's seat. In your prior engagement, you wanted to aim for Red Eye's mouth. You can still hit him here now, but it's easier and more effective to shoot at the orange cores on his sides. Each core can be hit twice. Keep up this process until Red Eye's health is low. He should try to swallow the rail gun whole. At this point you'll want to shoot him in the mouth. That should put him down for good.

EPISODE 4

CHAPTER 1
Mission One

Your soldiers have been captured by the Carpetbaggers. It's time to escape. When the mission starts you'll be tasked with capturing all the local data posts. When you head out of your cell you'll trigger a security sensor's alarm. From your cell you can either to the left or the right. To the left is a set of battle armor, but also brings you into range of a set of defense turrets. To the right is a machine gun and some grenades, but also some soldiers. Follow either path to reach the first data post.
When you capture the data post you'll gain access to a descending flight of stairs. Take them down to the level below. You'll immediately meet heavy resistance in the way of soldiers and a bunch of turrets. Take some time to clear out the area and along the way you should find the next data post. Capture it.
There will be another descending staircase nearby. Take it down the next level. The enemy force down here has a couple VS's and you unfortunately don't have many heavy weapons to speak of. It may work better here just to stay up on the area above the ground floor and snipe as many enemies as you can from above. Lob some grenades down if you see an opportunity. When all the soldiers are dead, you should find a pit leading toward a locked door. Jump down, hack the door and finish the mission.

Mission Two
When the mission begins you'll find yourself in a sewer. Head straight head down the tunnel. Eventually you'll come to some Akrid. Kill them and continue to find a pit. At the bottom are some battle armor and a data post. Jump down to activate it. When you reach the bottom of the bit though, you'll encounter more Akrid, including some Defolma which will be a first up to this point. Alternatively, skirt around the pit and you'll find another tunnel that leads to deeper into the sewers. This area is absolutely infested with Akrid and though they are mostly just Sepia and Bolsepia, it can get a bit overwhelming. Kill everything that moves, putting priority on the Genessa spawn pods. Whichever way you choose, you'll inevitably reach the same the destination. At the end of the tunnel is the exit. Hack the gate controls and the mission will end.

Mission Three
When the third mission begins, you'll be tasked with penetrating the enemy defense grid. Advance into the area ahead and you'll meet a group of soldiers backed up by a pair of light VS's. Use the nearby rocket launcher to bring them down, and then pick off the soldiers. You should come to a bridge. It's guarded by a firing line of plasma turrets. Take your time in destroying them and keep out of their line of fire when possible. A single concentrated burst from all the turrets can easily kill you. Take out the sensor orbs on the catwalk above them to bring them down. After they're destroyed you should be able to capture the nearby data post. Keep your eyes out though, more soldiers may spawn and try to bushwhack you.
Advance forward and you'll come to another area that can be really difficult. It's guarded by three VS's two heavy, one light and a nice sized squad of infantry. The foot solders won't give you much trouble, but the VS's can make it hard to move out of cover. There is a garbage dumpster at the opening of this area. Hide behind it, popping out every now and then to get off a few shots—preferably with a rocket launcher—at the VS's. Heal when you need to and keep on the pressure until all three are destroyed. When that's done, clear out any remaining soldiers and hack.

CHAPTER 2
Mission One

When the mission begins you'll be instructed to activate some data posts in order. This basically just means advancing along and capturing any data posts you pass. When the mission begins head up the ramp onto the catwalks. You'll meet with enemy soldiers immediately and almost just as soon encounter the first data post. It will be on the floor below the catwalks you're currently moving on.
The next data post lays a level or so up, directly to the east of the first one. You'll have to climb a few stairs and maybe use your grappling hook to reach it. You'll of course, encounter a whole ton of resistance along the way, but it's mostly just infantry and nothing you can't handle.
After this, head south. You should exit a tunnel onto a platform with the third data post. Capture it. After this head back to the bottom level of the center of the area. The fourth data post will now be available to capture.
From the fourth data post head to the northwest, staying on the ground level. There doesn't seem to be any end to the enemy's numbers so just keep killing any that get in your path. After a short jog you should come to the fifth data post.
Heading directly east from the fifth data post you should come to a data post sitting behind some crates next to a wall. After this is activated a door should open up on the wall near the data post. Run through it to exit the mission.

Mission Two
Your mission is to commandeer an enemy sub. Head down the hallway. Eventually, you'll come to a corridor with boats passing through it. Fight off the immediate guards and capture the data post to your left. Continue through the area, gathering the numerous rocket launchers you'll come across along the way. You should come to a data post on your right. Capture and start using those rockets to take down the VS's you'll begin to encounter. Continue and you'll come to a sub with a data post. Capture it to get the sub moving. As the sub floats down the corridor, fight off the soldiers that attack you. When it exits into the open, the mission and chapter will end.

CHAPTER 3
When the mission starts you'll be tasked with capturing some data posts for intel. There are four in total. Head up the hill where you'll find a small installation. The first data post is inside an attached bunker. To get to it head to the installation's entrance around the north. There's an empty VS nearby you may wish to board for the fight up ahead.
Continue forward and you should arrive at a point defended by some exceptionally heavy VS's and manned turrets. There's a wrecked VS you can salvage a rocket launcher from. Use it to help bring them down. After you've cleared out the defenders, press forward and take the first data post. As you near it, you'll be ambushed by a trio of VS's. Take them all and capture the data post.
A few feet to the north of the second data post is a building. Scale the wall to find the third data post. Scale the wall next to the third data post to find the fourth. Capture them both. After all four data posts are captured, the enemy will launch a counterattack. Fight off each incoming wave until their battle gauge is depleted. This will end the mission.

Mission Two
Your objective is to activate all the local data posts. When the mission begins head down the slope. You should across a Tentacle 8 Akrid, which having been captured by NEVEC has been modified with mechanical enhancements to serve their needs. You'll note about its body several orange, fleshy spots. These are its vulnerable points. Bring the thing down. There should be an empty VS that you can use if you want. The first data post is nearby.
Continue and you should find a data post locked behind an energy barrier obstructing your progress. To the east is a control you can hack to dissipate it. Once the barrier is down, head back and capture the second data post.
Advance. You'll come to a defense post guarded some soldiers and some more modified Akrid. These guys go by the name of the Dongo gear and are basically just Dongo's with machine guns on their backs. A few rocket shells will bring them down. Once you've killed all the enemy units, you'll find the third data post just past their position.
Your advance will be blocked by another energy field. Luckily the controls are unguarded and right in your path. Hack it and be ready to take on another Tentacle 8. Now this guy is a pain. Whereas the first Tentacle 8 was a bit of a pushover this one is armed to the teeth and will knock you flat if you even try to get close to it. Use everything at hand to bring it down. Rockets, machine guns and the nearby VS's if you must. When Tentacle 8 is brought down you'll find the fourth data post in back of his position.
After Tentacle 8 is dead, you'll come to another energy barrier. The gate control is on the structure toward the rear of the area where you fought Tentacle 8. After the barrier is down, continue on. You should find the fifth data post almost immediately on your left next to a suit of battle armor. Equip the armor and capture the data post.
Directly ahead of the data post you'll come to an enemy structure. Scale its walls and engage the enemy inside. You'll receive new orders to disable the lightning station. At the top of the southern tower of the enemy structure is a control for the station. Hack it and the river below will drain. There will be a doorway ringed in red. Enter to end the mission.

CHAPTER 4

Mission One
When the mission begins, head down the hallway. There will be a few soldiers taking cover behind some barricades. Just pick them off and continue forward. When you reach the elevator at the end of the corridor a heavy VS will drop in. You won't have any heavy weapons on hand yet, so use grenades and riddle it with your machine gun until it goes down.
Climb the ladder next to the elevator. When you each the next level up you'll come to a data post. Capture it. A couple of heavy, maneuverable enemy VS's should drop in, one after the other. Take them down, along with any enemy soldiers you encounter. There are some empty VS's you can mount if you'd like. After the enemy is dead, head down into the water. When you're submerged you'll find another data post. Capture it and a new area will open up.
Head into the next area. There will be some underwater Akrid around, Jellon, Piranha and a few Defolma for good measure. Gun them all down and then press forward. After a short distance your path will again be blocked by a closed gate. Capture the nearby data post to open the way.
Your path will be blocked by a few more Jellon, and then you'll be come across a Dabula. Just stay on the cliff side avoiding its mouth, and shoot the orange spots on its back. After the Dabula is dead jump down to the ocean floor below and proceed forward. There's a bigger than usual supply container. Open it up to find a VS! Board it and press forward. You'll come across some ocean vents. Step onto one and it will propel you upward. You'll encounter another Dabula. Kill it in the same manner as the first.
You'll reach another sealed door. Capture the nearby data post to open it and continue. You'll see a big see craft. Don't bother shooting it, it will just jet away. After that though, a group of VS's will drop in. Destroy them all. There's one last closed gate up ahead. Capture the data post to open it and end the mission.

Mission Two
You're still in pursuit of that NEVEC secret weapon, which means another infiltration mission. When the mission begins you're ordered work your way across the facility. Head up the ramp from your starting point. You'll eventually move onto a platform and encounter some enemy soldiers. Kill them and continue. There's a VS toward the rear of the area you can take if you'd like.
Continue forward and you'll come to a large area with multiple data posts. You don't need to capture them but you may as well. You objective at this part is to get across a closed draw bridge to west. The problem is that the controls are on the other side. Head to the west. You'll encounter some enemy VS's. After you've brought them down, ascend to the second level and you'll find a vacant attack chopper. Mount it and use it to cross the bridge. Then land and hack the drawbridge controls to open the way. Careful! There are some rocket equipped turrets that can bring you down on trip over if you're not careful.
Head up the nearby ramp. There should be a lot of soldiers on the way, so take a bit of time to kill them. If the attack chopper is still in working condition, you might even use that. At the top of the ramp you'll come under fire from a large group of attack choppers. There are some VS rocket launchers nearby so you shouldn't have trouble bringing them down. After the coast is clear hack the nearby controls and board the lift to end the mission, and chapter.

CHAPTER 5

Mission One
When the mission begins you need to capture the local data posts. You can get started with the one right in front of you at the starting point. Once the data post is captured it will unlock two doors. The door to the right leads to a small room with a set of battle armor. Take it and then proceed to the left to advance the mission.
Follow the corridors, killing any soldiers you come across. This part of the level is very linear, just follow the green doors. You'll come to the second data post. Kill the guard and capture it. After it's active, head back the way you came and should come to some newly unlocked doorways. Explore them until you find the third data post, under the guard of a large squad of infantry. Capture it and proceed through the door on the other side of the room.
Continue through the unlocked doors. You'll come to a large door that will slide open to reveal an enemy VS backed by some soldiers. Kill them all and head down to the second level, where you'll encounter some Akrid. It's just Sepia and Genessa spawn pods, but eventually some Vodogg's join the fun. You'll head down the next level. Take some time to circle the hallway and clear out the Akrid. You should come to a door labeled 2-B. Inside is the data post. There are also tanks containing Vodoggs, so try not to shoot them open. Capture the data post.
Head back out into the hallway. Follow it and you'll find that doors 2-C and 2-D are now unlocked. Enter 2-C to find a suit of battle armor and four Vodogg tanks. They'll burst when you move forward. Kill them and take the armor. 2-D will take you down to the next level.
You should be attacked by some Dongo Gears. Taking them out can be a bit tough without heavy weapons. To the right you'll see a room labeled 3-B. Enter it find a VS and some containers, one with a rocket launcher. Use them to take out the Dongo Gears. This hall circles much like that on the second floor. You'll find a number of unlocked rooms. 3-C has two containers holding some disc grenades and battle armor. When you've taken what you want from the rooms, head into the hallway behind where the Dongo Gears were.
At the end of this hallway is a data post. Capture it, and then head back out into the circular hallway where a door should have opened to a lift. Another Dongo Gear will be guarding it, kill it and board the lift to end the mission.

Mission Two
The mission begins with you near some more water. Your objective is again to capture a command post to take control of the facility. Jump into the water and advance. You'll come to some battle armor. Take it and from this point keep jumping until you get down as far as you can go. After this, head west and the follow the ramps up to the first data post.
With this data post active your map will become more detailed. You don't need to take over the remaining data posts to finish the mission but it helps to power up your battle gauge. The command post that is your objective lies on a platform below and to the northeast of the data post you just took. Capture it.
Boss Battle: Vital Fortress
Capture the command post and you'll be given orders toe evacuate on a shuttle. Before that can happen though, the enemy will launch its secret weapon, the Vital Fortress, against you. While the Vital Fortress is no pushover by any stretch of the word, it isn't nearly as challenging as some of the Akrid you've fought up to this point. It has a lot of firepower and can hit large areas at once, but the area that you're fighting in has a lot of cover to take advantage of. There's also a lot of heavy weaponry at your disposal here, though you don't really need it. Just target the target lasers at the front of the Vital Fortress and with enough time, even your standard machine gun can bring it down. This will end the mission, chapter and episode.

EPISODE 5

CHAPTER 1
Mission One
Your mission is to capture an enemy battleship. To do this you need to get inside. When the mission starts you're riding a small hovercraft. Advance toward the battleship, taking a moment to get yourself used to the controls of your hovercraft. You'll be attacked by some attack choppers. Use the rocket launcher you started the mission with to bring them down. Be careful, if you get hit by any large debris it will knock you off your craft and kill you. When you get close to the battleship, you'll come under fire from a bunch of turrets. Take a bit of time to clear them away before boarding the ship.
When you've cleared away the enemy turrets raise your hovercraft off the ground and land on one of the walkways. There's one on both the left and right. Capture the data post near your landing point and open up the nearby containers to pick up some ammo. After that, head inside the battleship and take on the enemy forces within. You'll be resisted mostly by enemy VS's and infantry, with a turret or two for good measure. When the area is clear, open the nearby containers for supplies. Once you've done that hack the controls toward the back of the room to open the rear hatch. This will end the mission.

Mission Two
You objective is to capture all the control posts within the battleship to take it over. From the starting point head up the ramp, opening any nearby containers should you need supplies. Take the doorway to your left and follow the connecting corridor. They'll lead to a flight of stairs. Head into the room to the right of the stairs to find a data post. Capture it.
Once you've done that your map will be active. Control post 2 is on one of the floor above you. Head up the flight of stairs you previously ignored. You'll come to a room. Kill the defending soldiers. You should see another flight of stairs. Follow them up the command post. A squad of enemy soldiers is defending it. Kill them and capture the post.
From here, head south to find the second command post. After you've captured both you'll need to hold them for ninety seconds. The enemy will try to retake them. If you lose a post the timer will pause until both are under your control again. Just recapture them until the counter finishes. This will end the mission and chapter.

CHAPTER 2
Mission One
Your objective here is to slaughter the remaining enemy troops. Their battle gauge will appear at the bottom of the screen. Advance forward and start slaughtering the enemy soldiers. Some attack choppers will start to stream in. You take up residence in one of the nearby turrets to shoot them down. Before that, capture the command post toward the rear of the ship. This part is pretty simple, just kill everything that moves.
After a time the enemy will deploy troop carriers to try and drop some soldiers onto the battleship. There objective is to open the rear hatch of the battleship. If any make it aboard make it your priority to kill them. Should they successfully hack both controls the mission will end in failure. Recapture the controls if they take them. Beyond that, just keep killing until the enemy's battle gauge is depleted. Doing so will end the mission.

Mission Two
With the battleship under your control you'll gain access to its main, extremely powerful cannon. It runs off of thermal energy however, which means you'll need to supply it yourself. Luckily when the mission begins there are two thermal chargers nearby and available. After a time, a swarm of Trilids will attack. Stay near the thermal chargers and shoot them down from a distance. Keep this up and after a short time the ground will begin to shake. Cat G time!

Boss Battle: Balztencale
As far as bosses go Balztencale is not that difficult. With your charged up supply of thermal energy take control of the battleship's main cannon. Charge up a shot and pick your target. It has many weak points across its body, but the easiest place to hit it is generally at its leg joints or in the face. It has a few attacks, but its main one is to drop Bolsepia on you. These will barely even affect you when you're seated in the cannon. When its health gets low, Balztencale will get up close and try to hurt you. This is actually a great chance to finish it off. Its attacks in this state aren't too grievous and its face will be literally right in front of the cannon. Roast it and collect the goodies it drops as it keels over. This will end the mission and chapter.

CHAPTER 3
The enemy is sending another battleship to take you on. It has a cannon identical to your own which, when it nears, becomes your initial main target. You'll need some thermal energy for your own cannon. Luckily there's another thermal charger near the cannon. Take a moment to charge it up and then board your cannon.
Charge up and target the enemy cannon. Don't fire just yet. Wait until it opens up to fire and the shoot. A single good, concentrated blast should be more then enough to put it out of commission. After that blast the rest of the ships defenses into oblivion. After that target the ship's "wings." These are the large vertical plates jutting out from the side of the ship. If you take too long, the enemy's cannon will be repaired. Just destroy it the same way again.
After the wings are destroyed, you'll be ordered to take over the second battleship. The two battleships will near one another allowing you to jump to the enemy ship. To capture the ship head to lower cargo hold and take over the ship's command post. Kill any soldiers you come across. After you capture the enemy command post, you need to hold it for one minute. When you take the ship over, the enemy will activate a self destruct sequence. You have ninety seconds before it foes boom. Escape. The mission, chapter, and episode will.

EPISODE 6

CHAPTER 1
Mission One

Your goal here is to take over an enemy shuttle. From the starting point head down the hall in front of you. You'll encounter some armored soldiers and a few minor Akrid. Shortly into the firefight an enemy soldier will open the cargo bay and vent you into space. Use your jets to fly back to the shuttle. When you get back inside the shuttle, push the button to seal the cargo bay. This will end the mission.

Mission Two
Your objective is to head to the cannon engineering room. When the mission begins turn around. Behind the starting point you'll find a data post down a short flight of stairs. Capture it and then continue forward into the mission. You may note the gravity is lower here. This basically means everything is a bit floatier and you can jump further. Continue dead ahead and you'll come to another data post guarded by some turrets. Destroy them and capture it. From there head up the ramps, fighting off the enemy soldiers VS's you encounter.
At the top of the ramp you should come to a data post on your right and a huge gap. Thanks to the decreased gravity you can jump the majority of the distance and then use your jets to finish the gap. On the other side you'll encounter more enemy units, including a large number of heavily armed VS's. Take them all out as you go. You should come across another data post. Capture it and continue.
Heading northwest from the last data post, you should under fire from another group of enemy VS's. Destroy them and continue up the wide ascending corridor. There will be a couple rocket turrets along the way. Take them out. The corridor will hang a left and lead you to the area's exit. This will end the mission and the chapter.

CHAPTER 2
Your objective here is to activate all the local data posts. There are five in total. From the mission's start point you'll come to a ledge. Jump in and you'll fall for a ways to the area below. Continue forward; there will be a wrecked VS on your left. You can take its weaponry if you want. Press forward. You'll come to a circular area and a thermal charger.
In the center you'll find a descending pit with a lot of platforms. This area is ringed by an ascending pathway. First, head down into the pit area. You should find a data post. Activate it and then head back up and use your now active map to find the remaining data posts. They are all on different levels and can seem a bit difficult to find at first. That said, they're all basically out in the open and as long as you explore each level thoroughly you'll find them. Just keep moving upwards. After the last post is yours, you'll be instructed to head to the control booth on the top level. This won't take long, as the top level is right above the last data post. When you reach the control booth you'll leave the area and trigger a cutscene.
After the cutscene you'll be in a VS hangar. You need to protect some VS's to use in escaping the station. Of course, the enemy sends in their own motley of VS's to try and muck things up. Just destroy any enemy forces that attack you. Eventually a massive, super heavy VS will drop in. Destroy it with heavy weapons and the chapter will end.

CHAPTER 3
Mission One

You're riding the VS's you saved down to the planets surface. This mission is so easy you could literally walk away from the controls, make a sandwich, eat it and probably come to find you'd won any ways. You'll advance automatically through space. Eventually you'll pass through a minefield. Shoot down any mines that get close to you. This will eventually become an asteroid field. Same deal. If the asteroids get too close destroy them. When you start to pass through the atmosphere, you've won.

Mission Two
When this mission begins, advance forward. You'll quickly come to a data post. Capture it and press on through the snow toward the objective marker on your radar. Gather weapons you come across while destroying any Akrid you encounter; Dongos and a couple of Chryatis. You can make an effort to kill all the Akrid, but it's perfectly possible to just run straight to the goal.
You'll enter a new area in a bunker packed with weapons and equipped with a thermal charger. The Akrid will begin attacking shortly after the mission begins. Before that, run out and activate the one data post in the area. Then return to the bunker and prepare for the attack. There are a couple turrets you can mount. Their firepower is nice, but their use is honestly a bit limited as you'll want to be able to move around to engage the various Akrid that come at you. The Akrid will initially attack in weak waves of Sepia and Bolsepia, but eventually you'll be fighting off Dongos and Chryatis as well. After going through this for awhile you'll be told to proceed to the Over G Akrid staging area. Follow the objective marker.

Boss Battle: Undeep
The Undeep isn't really that hard. Most of its attacks are easy to avoid as long as you keep moving. That said, it does have the annoying quality of possessing hard to hit weak points. You wouldn't think they'd be difficult to hit. The cores lining its sides are all pretty big, and the one inside its mouth is huge. That said, its constant movement and wiggling makes it difficult to get in an accurate shot, especially with the heavy weapons needed to efficiently destroy it. Your best bet is to just go for its sides and keep trying until the beast goes down. After killing the Undeep, follow your objective marker to mission's exit.

CHAPTER 4
Your goal here is simply to fight your way to the Over G's core. You'll go through a number of areas to do this. When the mission starts just advance forward. You'll notice some large Genessa lining the rock walls. Take them down as you go. This is a bit easier said than done though, as the area is infested with Chryatis. Kill everything, capturing any data posts you pass to help build your battle gauge. When the area is clear of enemies, gather some weapons before you move to the next. A cutscene will trigger.
After the cutscene ends, move forward into the next area. There, you'll notice a red battle gauge at the bottom of the screen. You need to empty this. You'll also notice a number of Over G spheres. These are similar in look and size to Genessa, but they attack you with small projectiles. Attack these to deplete the battle gauge. You'll also want to capture the data posts in the area to boost your battle gauge some more. After all this is done, proceed to the exit marked as your objective.
In the next area you'll come across an Akrid breeding ground. Head into the area destroying any Genessa spawning pods you come across. You'll encounter a variety of Akrid, including a new variety, the Raibee. Now, you can take your time and wipe out everything in the area, or you can just head straight through the area and exit. It's up to you.
After a brief episode in which you use the cannon of the battleship you previously captured you'll enter the next area. You'll instantly be attacked by a group of three our four Chryatis. Take them all out and then target the Genessa pods spawning them. Continue forward, taking down all the Genessa you encounter. You'll come across a few data posts as well. Capture them as you go. You'll shortly come to the exit.
Advance forward and you'll come across several Over G spheres. Destroy them and head on down into the lava below. You should know by now that it isn't going to harm you. Take your time here to capture data posts, clear away any Akrid and to gather weaponry. Otherwise just press forward, making your way to the exit.
This is the last area prior to the Over G core, take some time to capture the nearby data post and gather some weapons. After that you'll have come under attack by some more aggressive than usual Over G spheres. These more lethal versions spew out powerful fireballs and attack in groups of two or three, where the others were generally encountered solo. Destroy them all. When the final Over G sphere is gone, an exit will be revealed leading to the Over G Core.

Boss Battle: Over G Core
When you begin you'll be given orders to deploy GPS units to allow the orbital laser you captured earlier to fire on it. Follow the path up to the Core. The core will emerge as three massive tentacles with a sphere on the end of each one. Choose one of the three and focus your fire on the sphere. It can take a lot of damage, but over time it will begin to blacken. When it's fully blackened the sphere will drop to the ground. Run up to it and attach a GPS unit and then back off. Your allies will hit with the orbital laser, destroying it. This doesn't end the battle. The Core will briefly revive itself. Fight it a bit longer and a cutscene will trigger, ending the battle and the game. Congrats!
